White Wine with Green Grapes / Red Wine with Bread

These paintings were done as a commission. The request called for two square paintings that could be displayed with another piece of pre-existing art. It was suggested that one contain red wine and bread, the other white wine and green grapes. The pre-existing piece is somewhat abstract in appearance so it was necessary to keep the new work slightly loose and not excessively detailed. The pre-existing piece also contains splashes of red so the red cloth of the new paintings helps connect the three pieces.
